Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)every year conducts examinations for various services like Indian Civil Service, Indian Police Service and Indian Foreign Service and so on to recruitment talented and ambitious candidates to serve India as Grade IV Officers. Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service are such. UPSC is inviting online applications through www.upsconline.nic.infor Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service Examination 2012. It published Examination Notice no. 12/2012-IES/ISS in employment news paper and other major recruitment news papers stating the last date of online applications is 1st October, 2012. It’s official website is www.upsc.gov.in.

Age Limit: 21 to 30 years
Indian Economic Service:31 Posts
Academic Qualifications:Post Graduation in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics / Econometrics.

Indian Statistical Service:29 Posts
Academic Qualifications:Post Graduation in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics.

Application Process:candidates wish to apply for the above examinations have to pay Rs.200 as examination fee in any of the branches of State Bank of India or it’s affiliated banks. After payment of fee the candidates can visit www.upsconline.nic.in to apply online from 1st September to 1stOctober, 2012.

Selection Process:
The selection process of Indian Economic Service / Indian Statistical Service consists of Written Examination for 1000 marks and Viva Voce for 200 marks. Look at below tables about the syllabus of the exam.
